Bahamian Sky Juice

A refreshing combination of coconut water, gin, and condensed milk over ice, topped with a cherry or a dash of nutmeg (optional).

I first had this lovely cocktail at a University Caribbean event in Barbados, at the Bahamian stall. Fresh coconut water is my all-time favourite drink, so I was a bit skeptical at first at the thought of milk and coconut water combined, but wow, wow!! From the first taste it was like an explosion in my mouth, and this has become my favourite drink ever since!

It's no surprise that on a family holiday in Bahamas a few years ago, having this drink made locally was top of my to-do list. By the end of the holiday, I had lost count of how many I had.

I'm so in love with this drink, that even though here in the UK where I don't have fresh coconut at my disposal, I find myself making it with store bought coconut water, and it's just as yummy! A nice refreshing, relaxing tipple after a full Sunday dinner.

Check out the recipe below, and try for yourself. Then come back and let me know your thoughts.
